A descendent of one of the early settlers of Clinton, lifelong Clinton, New York resident Marjorie Bakos has written a marvelously, readable history of the founding and growth of the village of Clinton anew of Hamilton College, both viewed from the vantage point of Stone Chutch. A View From The Steeple is a delightful, carefully researched history of the people in circumstances that contributed to the settling and development of the village of Clinton; of the purpose behind the founding and growth of the early Hamilton in College; end of the history and importance of what today is Stone Presbyterian Church.

Proceeds from the sale of this book will be used for the care and maintenance of the interior and exterior of the stone church building and for the archival preservation of historical materials.
