Please join us for a Plein Air Meetup in the Village of Clinton at the Old Burying Ground in partnership with the Clinton Historical Society.
The Clinton Historical Society is dedicated to preserving, documenting, and sharing the rich history of Clinton and the Town of Kirkland for generations to come. Founded in 1962, the Society safeguards the stories, places, and people that have shaped our community through its collections, exhibits, and educational programs.
Together, we invite you to experience a piece of that history at the Old Burying Ground, a historic cemetery on Kirkland Avenue dating to Clinton’s earliest days. The grounds are the final resting place of early community members and nearly 50 Revolutionary War soldiers, offering a meaningful connection to the people who helped shape our nation and our hometown. With its historic headstones, mature trees, and quiet atmosphere, the Old Burying Ground provides a beautiful setting for plein air painting, a chance to capture not only the landscape, but also the stories and history held within it.
