Our TWO year anniversary came and went this month and we are so thrilled to continue moving forward, stronger than ever. We truly have the best customers and have met so many wonderful, talented people including Dani of Wanderlust on a Budget. She is a true pro and her adventure blog inspires us constantly. Dani will be joining us weekly to talk about new, favorite products and the classics we know and love. Now on to the fun stuff!
Now that the leaves are falling and there’s a chill in the air, it’s the perfect time to restock your pantry and fridge with some cozy autumn favorites. From flavorful fall drinks to scrumptious goodies, you’ll be salivating while you choose which to try first!
Coffee & Tea
This time of year, pumpkin spice gets all the love, with apple cider coming in at a close second. But the drink that often gets overlooked? Chai! ThisMasala Chai Concentrate is just the ticket to make a warm fall drink to enjoy while curled up with a blanket and your favorite book. Plus, the company that makes it, Dona Chai, is female-founded and sustainable. The ingredients are all ethically sourced and the spices are freshly ground and brewed at their facilities in Brooklyn. The masala concentrate is made with a black tea base and filled with delicious spices that also have great health benefits!
No worries if coffee is more your style though - Peaks makes a fantasticSnapchilled Coffee. The Ethiopian coffee is able to maintain its fruity flavors and floral finish through the patented snapchill process. It’s like cold brew but better! Peaks is based in Syracuse and operates on the vision that we all have peaks and valleys in our lives, but every moment is better when spent together. So whether your day is a peak or a valley, their coffee is sure to make it better.
Flavorful Sparkling Water & Switchel
Another drink that has taken the world by storm lately? Seltzers! And Dram Apothecary makes some pretty great flavored sparkling water. (Since you’re probably wondering, the difference between seltzer and sparkling water is that the carbonation in sparkling water is natural, whereas seltzers are force carbonated.) TheCitrus & Blossoms Sparkling Water is all naturally flavored from plant extracts, with no additives, calories, or sugar. If you’re looking for the added health benefits of CBD, try theirLemongrass Adaptogenic CBD Sparkling Water. The adaptogens in the drink help your body adapt to stressors. Plus, all of these sparkling waters make for great cocktail mixers!
Speaking of cocktails, Dram also makes bitters to add to your favorite mixed drinks. The Colorado-based company offersWild Mountain Sage Bitters made from wild-grown Colorado sage and orange peel. If you want a brighter taste, try theCitrus Cocktail Bitters, which are not only great with alcohol, but also in sauces and baked goods!
Dram also offers canned switchel containing hemp extract. Switchel is a prebiotic similar to kombucha in that it is also tart and tangy. TheAlpine Berry CBD Sparkling Switchel helps reduce inflammation, improves immunity support, and assists with stomach problems - all while tasting great.
Enjoy Your Drinks in Style
With so many great drinks to choose from, the only thing you’ll need now is a great mug to drink them from. Luckily, we have just the thing. The ceramicUpstate & Chill Mug is inspired by old-school camping mugs. It gives off those vintage vibes while showcasing your love for Upstate New York.
Once you’ve settled on a drink choice, it’s time to choose a snack! Based in Sharon Springs, New York, Brimstone Bakery creates some truly delicious baked goods. The seasonal choice would have to be theChocolate Chip Pumpkin Bread, but the Rocky Road and Strawberry Coconut Banana are great choices too! If you have a sweeter tooth, check out their selection ofbrownies, cookies, andbiscotti. Each creation is flavorful and unique. They even have gluten-free options.
